Building on the June conference, ACTIM’s second seminar placed a stronger emphasis on investment. Japanese dual-use technology companies presented directly to investors, and each pitch included time for questions.
LTG (Ret) Hiromichi Kawamata, President, D&I-MESOC
Cooperation between defence technology and civil innovation
LTG (Ret) Kawamata served more than 30 years in Japan and overseas. He led crisis response, international peacekeeping and disaster relief missions, and he later served as Commanding General of the Central Readiness Force. After retiring, he advised Toyota Motor Corporation on government business initiatives. He now leads D&I-MESOC LLC, which promotes public-private cooperation in defence and security and supports foreign companies entering the Japanese market.
